Recommendations: SD card reader adaptor for android phone

As stated. Does anyone have an adaptor/reader that takes standard and micro SD cards, that enables you to view the contents on their phone?

The application is for viewing trail cam memory cards on site. My poor, myopic eyes, can't make out the details - let alone the time stamp - on the viewers provided.
I don't just want to download the data. I want to be able to view it on the phone screen. Any suggestions?

I see that there are a few on the market, but I would like to have a recommendation from a user of one that works.

Your input would be most welcome.

Your phone will probably take a micro SD card. You should be able to pop it in and view files, although they are fiddly to get in and out if you have sausage fingers and poor sight.

I don't know what size card your trail cam takes, but assuming it is a standard SD card, you should just be able to use the same size adapter which holds the micro SD card. You just pull the whole thing out of your trail came and then remove the little micro SD from the larger card and stick it in your phone to view.

In terms of what to buy, you will know wht sort of storage you will need. Less for photos, more for videos. When you plug it in to your PC or laptop, it should give you an idea of how much average space you need. Then allow for more.

Ebay is littered with fake Kingston and Sandisk SD cards, so beware buying Micro SD's and adapters that seem too good to be true price wise. Places like supermarkets are pretty good places to buy, as you know they will be genuine and also not horribly priced.

You can get them here for a tenner and up with adapters. They get more costly as storage capcicty increases.

Thanks Cottis. This is more the thing I was thinking about. I do not want to be taking my phone to bits in the woods as it has a tough case wrapped around it.

This seems a good idea, but out of stock. All the other options do not show a view facility, just download.
