It looks like they will refuse his renewal, this is better than being revoked. You can still appeal the decision to refuse. I would rather have a refusal than a revocation on my record.

Well now. If you are suggesting a "Masonic" connection, then you have made a massive leap, which is both irrelevant and incorrect. I am at a loss to understand the relevance of covering one's number plate, but whatever helps you make your 'argument'.

Here's a suggestion.

Don't make suggestions about writing 'stern' letters to Chief Constables - because that is counter-productive nonsense which will only serve to increase the 'belief' (unfairly) that the author is perhaps indeed not a suitable candidate.

Nothing to prevent you writing to any CC.

I would encourage it.

It's semantics.

Write a polite and courteous explanation for your situation to the CC.
Write a 'stern' letter to your CC.

See how that plays out. I know which one I would try.

Absolutely not. Just saddened to see you reduced to that post - smacks of playground nonsense.

Here's a thought.

If I see a suggestion which I think is 'flawed' and comment that I think it is, and the OP would be unwise to follow it, that is, by definition, a suggestion.

What it is not, is an attack or slur on you, and I am sorry you seem to have taken it as such.
