Reload Swiss powders advice

As reloader 7 now seems to be drying up, is there anyone out there using reload Swiss powders In the little .222?
How do people find the powders in general?
Thanks all

I thought that most RS powders were becoming if not are unavailable. The Ukraine bull.
Seem to work tho

Go for Vihtavouri, most available (last time I looked). I have found that the velocities get a bit wild when compressing the loads.
Also, go for the lowest energy that works, it will make a huge difference with barrel life.

Not done a QL workup for the 222 but VV N 135 works well in the 204 Ruger.

I use RS40 for 223 with good results, the company offer good customer service of running your powder/bullet choice through quick load and send you the results

The Swiss reloader powders are very good unfortunately as has already been mentioned supplies to this country for the foreseeable future have dried up. I would go with Vhitavuori powders myself as these too are excellent not that you will have any trouble getting the .222rem to shoot well with any powders even ground up match heads. :)

I was in Fultons today and they have had a delivery of RS powders.. Not RS 40 or 52 but some of the others. I piked up a tub of RS80.

Bad news is its now £116/kg.

Sorry guys I haven’t kept up to date with this thread. But I did buy a kg of reload Swiss 36 and have a load that stacks v max 40 grain on top of one another.

Viht is also thin on the ground

I’ve got half a tub of RS52 I’m planning to use for my .222 👍🏻

When that runs out I’ll have to swap to the IMR4895 I have, and after that I’m shafted 😂😂

Will I use that lot up before the war ends I wonder.. 😅

From what I gather, there is not much of a supply issue in Europe. One dealer I know is now going directly to Europe.

Another dealer was telling me that he is paying in advance for stock that might turn up in 8 weeks..... Why? Don't think that has been the case in the past.

Whether this problem stems from the UK wholesalers I don't know, some gun shops are at their wits end.

Blaming everything on Brexit is just a nonsense.

RS36 and 42 work well in replacement of N130/133

Doesnt seem to be a shortage of most RS
No 52/60 though
We took delivery of a large Viht order last month even N140

Panic buying of 5kg at a time by recreational shooters who shoot 300 rounds a year doesn’t help….
We have had people coming in for 1000-5000 primers and that equates to a 500% increase on what they would buy normally.

Extrapolate that across a market where dealers have limits they can hold and suppliers get deliveries twice a year or so and you can see why shelves are bare
