We need to get away from the idea that you can only have a 'good reason to possess' if you fire the thing.
Me too.I save all my spent primers in a bottle just so I can show how much I shoot if I need to
How is that a trolling post.are you constantly a troll ?
How is that a trolling post.
He is right, keeping spent primers proves nothing, as my post above, I have thousands of primers in a pot that other people have fired.
Incidentally when the pot is full it gets emptied into the bin. I’ve never been asked to prove use and, I suspect like @Stalker1962 I have more than a couple of firearms. Maybe that’s the key?
Absolutely, and some FEOs may welcome seeing it.OK well you do what you do and I will do what I do , we don't all have to do the same thing and there's no harm in doing either
I’d love to see my FEO count my reload records, or my ammunition for that matter. I think I was over 6000CF and 3500 RF at last tally, would definitely be a waste of police time!I keep a hen’s scrawl of a record, every round I reload…it’s more for my reference but if the FEO wants to see it…fine, I did have one that started counting and then said “Ok, that’s enough of that” and smiled…
Sure, I could be writing in anything, but if it was ever tested in court I’m sure my localcrackfirearms dealer could show my purchases that would add up to what I shoot. Also things like club records, game dealer etc…
Most will blow the “good reason” out of the water, bear in mind you could shoot one deer a year and that would be good reason…so, one round…and three to zero…

Gixer
It certainly is…most of the ones in the know don’t even bother…but you do get the eager beavers sometimes that will thumb through pages…I’d love to see my FEO count my reload records, or my ammunition for that matter. I think I was over 6000CF and 3500 RF at last tally, would definitely be a waste of police time!
