This was a copy n paste job! should there be a defect in the description of the depicted items please direct to the owner of the page .The top rifle in that picture looks to be a Savage...which is neither a long or short action. It's a Savage action. The bolt baffle determines the bolt throw, not the action in a Savage. It's one of the reasons they are inexpensive rifles...they only make one basic action across all their Model 10's/110's/11's/111's. Just the bolt heads and bolt baffles change.
ETA: BTW, if you ever have to run a .223 Savage in an AICS magazine'ed chassis, you'll have to grind another .25" off the baffle to get the bolt throw long enough to feed the magazine. Not a big deal since they are sintered metal. Grinds off fairly easy.
