RFD to RFD transfers and FAC requirements

EMC I do it your way, and know of several, others who have done it the same, with rifles, shotguns and bullet heads.

I know the relevent section in the Fc makes it sound incorrect but if it works why look for something else.

I suppose not, although I can't imagine many RFD's would do that out of the kindness of their hearts: and in any case, that isn't the same as the FAC-holder buying the rifle from far-away-RFD and having it sent to near-by-RFD so he can collect it.

No, not kindness.
but with all due respect to any RFD's I know and use

If you have a client in your shop collecting a new toy....chances are they want some ammo, or a scope, or a sleeve, or a anything else.....
Chances are you already know them and they have bought from you before.
Certainly round here there is a limitation on where you can go and it always costs fuel!
Not once have I been asked if I need anything for numerous new toys I have had shipped RFD-RFD.

I have also not once been inclined to spend any more money in those shops that have just bent me over for £25-30 to write two lines in a book and the cost of a stamp.
