Ticket/ certificate finally landed on my door mat yesterday, I was off like a scalded cat to pick my order up from Rimfire magic in Yorkshire. Really pleased and can’t wait to get out.
Just awaiting my scope now.
Got to say what a great service from Roger and Sheila at Rimfire magic. I would highly recommend them.

What the weight please? I took the Volquartsen barrel off mine, fitted a shorten 16” barrel, dropped it into a Nordic components chassis and added a Mil spec stock. Result is a great fun AR-type rifle to shoot but it’s damm heavy! Thinking of going back to ultra-lightweight……….

Did they offer you a test fire target? I'm curious to see how they shoot. I've been reading about them for a while. Ruger magazines?? ~Muir

With the mod and empty mag 88 oz, 5.5lb or 2495 gms

I have a RM VQ 12.5 in a thumbhole stock. They take Ruger mags. CCI subs at 30 yds give ragged hole groups. It’s an absolute delight to shoot. Basically all the things you don’t like about a 10/22 have been sorted…. Smooth action with a polymer bolt stop so it’s not as clacky as the original, decent enough trigger for a semi-auto.

They showed me 2 x 10 round groups at 30 yds, pretty much very tidy ragged group, I will share my findings with you when I hopefully zero over the next week or so. Plan to try different brands.

Hi Muir

Not the original poster who will no doubt get back once he has had a play but the below was shot by me with my rimfire magic which is virtually identical to the above at 50 yards off the bench bullet testing. These are Ely contact subsonics.
Magazine is standard Ruger. I got mine second had recently and its been flawless and unusually for a semi auto will cycle any subs I threw at it including Ely sub hollow points

My 10/22 has flawlessly eaten everything I've fed it including the very cheapest CCI round whose name currently escapes me - bombproof :)
My old 10/22 though to be fair it did have a custom green mountain barrel when I got it would reliably stovepipe ely subs every time it really hated them and winchester subs for some reason.

I have the 10/22 bought second hand and it stove piped regularly gave it a total strip down and thorough clean inside and out and now it shoots anything no problem at all

Managed to zero..
Conditions were not ideal, 50 and 70 yards. prone on a bin bag in a field , using CCI hollow point subs. 120 rounds, no stoppages or misfires. Happy to say the rifle seems to like the ammunition. Think I could get it a lot tighter with better conditions..

I went to see Rimfire Magic last week for the first time to pick something up and was blown away with some of the rifles they offer. Fantastic quality and such friendly people from a family run company!!
If I had the money I would be applying for a variation!!
