Well done John, glad to see both the Norwegian lads had a result too. Thanks for the outing last Friday and the young Buck, a pleasure as always.

Paul.

Lovely song of the sky lark in the background of the video.

I was up in the North East with work at the back end of last week and it looked like Roe heaven in that beautiful spell of weather. Made me want to come back some day. Saw a long wheel base defender parked up with silver buck antlers mounted atop - would liked to have stopped to shoot the breeze with the guy but alas - time and work! I'll get back up there some day.

The thunk shot is never a nice sound but sometimes there is not much meat waist if the graloch is done quick and with skill. Well done in showing it many many deer get hit back

Brilliant video there. They don't come that close that often! I don't think I could have taken the shot and just admired the fact they came so close.

Just because I'm curious, were you wearing face covers and gloves or not?

sods law strikes again ,very unlucky for it to run and not stop, pity he didnt neck shoot as you told him, nice stalk though, atb doug,

that sort of thing can be more rewarding than a beast in the bag(except for the£ in your pocket)
Your chuckle at the end says it all.

Great vid John!
and to be fair to the guy behind the rifle, he did the right thing by not firing as he obviously wasn't 100% confident taking the shot.
