A nice day today and after bollocking up a stalk and a dog walker knackering another we were blessed with a late doe.

Tonight was ballsed up when a tractor came and top dressed the field we were in with little time to move, when we did we met another dog walker who had lost a dog in the wood apparently last seen chasing a deer.

Hi John,

Just a note to say thanks for the evening stalk yesterday. We must have seen 13 deer (10 bucks) before i stalked onto a small yearling doe suitable for culling - my first DMQ Level 2 stalk. Look forward to going out again in the near future to complete my other 2 witnessed stalks - if yesterdays showing is anything to go by I will be spoiled for choice. Hope you find a good home for "Derek" (Johns "pet" bronze/silver medal buck).

Thanks again,

Willie
PS - almost forgot to thank Breeze.

Your more than welcome to try and get the other 2 with me. And I'm sorry that i never got any photos but shooting it at last light and doing the dsc2 follow up etc i clean forgot to get the photo.
And you dropped the beast nice and clean all breeze did was eat your evidence. LOL (after you had done your p.m.)

I cant believe John you would give a deer a name you do realise no one will shoot it now it instantly became a pet. ps well done to Willie

I have seen him that often I just called him Derek one morning and it stuck.
Saw him day before yesterday in "white" antler and he will get shot, he is not a pet and will soon wise up when he colours up.
There are photos and vido of him on roe bucks in the east.

He looks to have the length john but is may be a bit thin wish you luck with him or the guest luck. Derek bites the dust headlines in a few weeks.

Right its over, slow finish i had a holiday and struggled to locate yearling does without having 1/2 a dozen bucks in the way blocking our approach but am overall very happy.
81 does killed and 5 misses this season gone.
Thanks to you all see you next back end(many only come for the does) and i'll see some of you soon and we'll be on the other thread.
