S&B 308 110grn blue

Hi thinking of now changing over from lead has anybody got any experience of accuracy of this ammo going to be using it in a 308 Mauser or does anyone have any other recommendations on what to use factory ammo only many thanks

I tried this ammunition and it did not achieve 2450 fps in a 24 inch barrel. Useless in my opinion.
I've been using Fox 130 gr from Edinburgh Rifles for 3+ years.

A 110 grain in a 308 that didn't clip 2450?? That's some poorly engineered ammo unless that particular bullet needs to be down loaded...~Muir
 
Not only does it not reach the required speed I also had a couple of gas escapes through the gas escape hole in the action.... what made it worse was the fact I was shooting a right handed rifle (I'm a lefty).... so I can't recommend them from my experience... although the heavier weight ones fair better from what I've heard...

That was a bad batch of ammo. No case obturation. You should contact S&B. ~Muir
 
Well I've just bought a box of 120g in 6.5 creedmoor and they shoot sub moa and to the same POI as my 120g handloads. I've not chrono'd them yet or shot a deer as I'm waiting for August 1st but accuracy is good enough. Hopefully I can chrono a few next week when I'm target shooting.
