Safari attire

Large nodes, absolutely.

But where I was last in the Karroo, the mast to which the property owner directed my attention was a minor hilltop repeater for just that valley. It had a large solar panel in evidence, and no genny running during "load-shedding".
Yes - that would be right for local repeater cells. Most of our time at the moment figuring out criticality and getting fuel bowsers out to top up gen tanks. SA worse than most tbh. Next to runout is water?

Presumably the new water use regulations will have a big impact on hunting areas in RSA? My understanding is that farms or some businesses cannot use or abstract water or hold water in a reservoir unless they are at least 70% black owned.

€75 gets you fully kitted out here

Just reminded me of what is down in the 'Man Cave'...

He is an 'original' from my childhood.

However.

I saw this fella (really badly posed), in an 'antique market', about eight or nine years ago. I could not leave him there...

Nuts. I know it's nuts...:-|

Hi Chill123, your post seems to deviate a bit from where you set off. Clothing wise I would have a pair of shorts for the camp, but only wear trousers when you hunt. Cotton shirts are fine, and you only need three pairs. If its chilly where and when you are going then fleece, jacket, or what you think will keep you warm. Comfortable walking boots. You need a hat and sun glasses. As far as equipment goes, what you do not take you will not have, but you have to get it there. Take a good hunting knife, multi-tool, and the right allen keys for your scope. I found a small pair of bino's to be perfect for hide work. Do not worry too much about being perfectly prepared, just get out there and enjoy.
