nothing wrong with a custom, but what’s the resale going to be on most custom rifles after a few years? Also, there’s no guarantee they will be better, been down the route of building from parts and also had problems.

Aye you are right, they go for nowt SH. Still I don’t buy a rifle looking to sell it, for the sum of money involved I want the ultimate precision tool, I think that’s best achieved by a custom.
I simply can’t reconcile the value of these rifles, 5 years ago the same barrelled actions (pretty much) were being sold for half the price, there seems to be a trend for thumbhole carbon stocks and some folks will fork out almost any figure to be in this club-that’s the basis for the price differential as far as I can see.
