Scent shoes

Same principle. Do you think they are better than the'clamp to heel' type?

In my opinion they all do the same job!

All down to personal preference, the first pair I had were the weidwork they were good, but once I saw the wooden ones had to have a pair, I like the look of them, I’m used to using them and I suppose I’m a traditionalist at heart.

Keith they all have good points and bad, the rubber or wooden shoes make the least amount of damage to the ground so for an experienced dog this is great as using an older cleave leaves less scent and less disturbance all round, the metal shoes give more crushing effect and more ground turnover and then leaving a larger footprint/ track to follow, great for a young dog just learning but making things easier for an experienced dog, but then for UKSHA/Verein and KBGS members we do our tests at or just before a year old and real work is being done alongside the shoe for success, the real tracks get harder with the experience of the dogs till they get to a level, regards wayne

B&D leisure do a cracking set of half shoe scent shoes
Fits everything from muntjac to wildboar
Even the largest park red stags will fit
Easy to use/fit and walk in
I’ve had my set for nearly 5 years
Done over a 1000 tracks with mine
Still going with minor repairs that they made good on
Not found anything else to match them
So easy to use and lays a realistic track in my eyes
