Have a German 8x56 on my Sako 85 .270 and a Hungarian 8x56 on my SHR970 .223 cannot see any difference in either scope to be honest. Both excellent at low light and for lamping charlie.
Just bought one from Edinburgh rifles £395at the stalking show at kelso. Put it on the rifle , zeroed perfectly. First doe 0608am
the next morning ,very happy with it.
To my eyes the swaro 6x42, 7x50 and 8x56 are better.....but twice the money used....and they aren't twice as good! You'll pick up a good condition 30mm klassik used for around £300 and won't go far wrong....if you don't like it then you can move it on and not loose a penny....guaranteed!
The s&b is made along military lines and is a tough as old boots. The Swaro are more refined but not quite so tough. Amazing warranty though. I have and like both.
