School dog insurance?!

Hi all

Hoping someone can help me. My wife and I are hoping to get a puppy soon - this dog will be used for some stalking but mainly for being taken into my wife's workplace to be used there. She is a teaching assistant at a special (autism specialist) school, and the school are keen to have a 'school dog' that is used to interact with the children etc during the working day.

My question is this - does anyone know what sort of insurance we'd need to think about here? The school is unsure and wants us to do the initial research. I know lots of insurance policies offer third party liability cover for damage to property and people but I'm guessing this would (knowing insurance companies) not cover the dog in the school. It's hard because I can't go on a price comparison site for this as it's quite a specific thing. Any ideas?

Speak to John Lewis insurance they will advise you

Please forgive me, but the first thing that came to mind when I read 'school dog' was this miserable cur:

Maybe speak with some Pets As Therapy types to see what insurance they use?
