If only it was a mild disease for those who weren't vulnerable. It is a serious disease and shouldn't be taken lightly. Causing problems with lung perfusion, forming blood clots and multiple organ failure. It is just not another strain of flu....
If you read my post I did say for the vulnerable it will be a nasty disease. I fully appreciate the dangers of catching it. But there are plenty of other nasty Infectious diseases - TB, AIDs etc that we have learned to live with and manage. Indeed we have learnt with them so well that our government, authorities and health service completely abandoned all the protocols for managing infectious disease.
We no longer have isolation hospitals that are completely seperate - instead we just use other wards in the same facility. And there was no advice at all about treatment in the community. I had COVID - I think - but no way to get tested. I was pretty ill for nearly two weeks but theconly advice was when you cant breath then we will send an ambulance.
The UK death rate has been far to high and lay the blame firmly at the doors of Government for prevaricating for far too long before entering lock down. If they had done so ten days earlier we would all be getting on with our lives now.
And its not as if we didn’t have warning signals or examples of say Italy either.
