Scope Camera mounting on top of scope

Does anyone know of a product to mount a camera to the top of a scope? Preferably using the universal attachment weaver-style system.

See pics for the kind of rail I mean

Cheers

To clarify what I'm after - Srspower has the kind of system I'm looking for. He has some kind of mount on top of his scope where the camcorder usually sits

Does the recoil not kick the crap out of the camera? Genuinely interested as I know very little about photography and filming.

Kind regards,

Carl

Depends on the calibre, he uses this on top of a 22lr and I'll be using it on a 17hmr. Definitely wouldn't recommend on a centrefire, but who knows? Maybe with a solid enough mount and a good quality camera it will be okay

Update: Couldn't find any product to fulfill this, have decided to 3D print one. Below pics are for the prototype, will post pictures of completed mount once it is built

That mount looks like it is a quick detatch from a tripod.
Which is not going to be able to take much recial, if you coudl even buy/make one to fit a scope.

There are scope mounting rings, to add things like torches. One of those may be able to take something likeone of the round bodied activity type cameras?
Or, if you have to use this cam, then get a set of cheaper scope rings, backwards. With the mount foot above the scope. Then mount a camera thread into the foot.
Possonly use the other ring to tie-warp the front of the cam too?

You're right about it being a quick detach for a tripod - I'll be using this camera on top of a tripod when filming some pieces however need it to easily mount on and off the top of my rifle also. I had a look around for a scope mount ring, found several products for mounting GoPro cameras and such but nothing that could take a camcorder sadly.

I did consider the recoil affecting the one small screw which is binding the mount to the camera, but I think as the rifle it's going to sit on is a very heavy (varmint) 17HMR, I think it should be alright. Failing that, I could always fix the mount to the bottom of the camera, perhaps with a spot or two of araldite? Can't ever see why I would take it off the bottom of the camera

For anyone else looking for compact, light and strong camera quick releases you will have to go a long way to beat Arca Swiss gear arca-shop.de EN

They have loads of bits and bobs so there is probably something suitable to mount a camera to a scope.

The mount is finished, was fairly easy to put together. If anyone viewing this thread in the future has the same problem I did, let me know and we can work out sending you one

Cheers

I took your criticism into consideration, and added a bolt underneath the slot where the foot of the camera slides in, which will help to fasten it in place. I'll go out and use it this weekend, hopefully it holds up!
