Looks like you have decent if cold weather for the next few days. We went for a walk on the beach this evening & the wind chill was significant. Are you coming through Edinburgh again this trip?

We had excellent weather. Loved Glencoe , super surroundings, amazing views, went for a walk at Glen Etive and couldn’t resist so despite the cold we went for ( a short) swim in the river near a small waterfall.
We had an amazing hotel here.

We now are at Gleneagles .
I ‘m definitely comming back to Scotland but the Gleneagles isn’t really my thing, don’t really like it , too much off a factory, a big playground , I like it when a hotel has luxury for the rest of the family but I also like it to be smaller and more private.

@ MacKenzie: We are going back to Newcastle tomorrow but I’m don’t think we have time to make a stop at Edinburgh again , I think we are leaving here around 12.30 and need to be in Newcastle around 16h

@tattie it’s not hard to take nice pictures, in Scotland it looks like your driving from one postcard to another :-)

Glad you all are enjoying the trip, it is good to get an update on your travels. Hadrians Wall next, then maybe Beamish local history museum. BC.

I keep meaning to make time to visit the Beamish. Just haven’t got around to it yet....I will though.
I keep hearing its an excellent ‘live’ museum.
As is the tram museum at Crich, Derbyshire.

Glad you enjoyed it & that the weather has been fairly kind to you. Do get in touch if you're interested coming over again & I'll take you on some walks if you like. I think Scotland looks at it's best & usually has the most predictable weather in the second half of May & during September.

Glen Etive is stunning the river used to be one of my favorite kayaking rivers with a lovely 20 foot drop at the end. If you were there I hope you tried jumping from the top. :-)
I am sailing out of Oban in September for a week and then staying around the Trossachs for a further week. If the weather is good Scotland is unbeatable.

You should, I think it is well worth the trip, Over the years we have been several times and there has always been some thing added/new? Best advice, arrive fairly early to have time to enjoy the day. ps, You can ride the tram there as well.

BC.
