Sending open rear sight from the US

Does this seem likely to be possible? Or is there some law stopping it?

Wouldn't of thought so.

When I had my browning 10 I had to order a buffer and piston seal from them ind they just put it in a jiffy bag and sent it direct!

There are a number of threads on here regarding ITAR restrictions-these are the regulations regarding the export of items the US Govt don’t want shipped overseas. Mostly they relate to dual use or military items that the US don’t want falling into the ‘wrong hands’ and possibly in worst case scenario being used against their own people or Armed Forces.

The regulations are voluminous and complex. They also carry stiff sentences for transgression which frightens a lot of US CEO’s rigid. Given the minuscule share of the market that the UK represents some just won’t export anything that COULD be griefy.

Examples of items that can cause problems are as simple as Red dot sights / scopes with mil dots - nothing you can’t buy in the UK, but there you are.

You will be fine with that.

The export restrictions are on red dots, scopes above x4 stuff with mildest etc.

That is literally just a piece of metal with a v cut into in

I’ve had some replacement parts for my MDT Grnd bipod sent from Canada, this has come to a stand still at customs here in the uk, I’ve had phone calls asking what’s it for, I had to fill out a declaration form stating what it is, and also send a copy of my firearms certificate it’s literally the piece of the bipod that clamps to the arca rail and the bolt to tighten it up.
Still hasn’t received it yet.

Titanium Gunworks had one for sale quite recently which can be sent legally to the UK.

Very sadly, they can’t send outside the EU without some sort of arms export license. This is very tedious and they have been very helpful and friendly but the export license is annoying to sort.
