Sending trophies (heads) to Denmark

Has anyone got any experience with sending heads to Denmark since Brexit?
I’ve sent some out today but the clients weren’t happy with the price of £60 per head, so I’m looking for alternatives for the future.
I have a vet in the UK for the paperwork here but I’ve been told they also need to be signed off by a vet in Denmark and my contact in Denmark is unable to find out if this is the case.
Thanks in advance

Of limited help as I can’t remember the name of the outfit but there was a Scandi based company that posted on Facebook (maybe of deer stalking U.K. or Scottish Roe) a while back who were offering to have trophies checked and packed (both ends) and transported for a set price.

£60 seems a good deal.
If a vet inspection is required in the UK then an EU vet inspection will almost always be required I’m afraid at the first point of entry into the EU.

Veterinary certificates etc all required as we are now a third party country to import any animal product into the EU from a third party country.

If you put a number of heads together, price per head will come down. Probably the only way would be for a number of estates, hunting operators or indeed a taxidermist to club together, ship multiple trophies to the EU in one consignment and to then onward ship each individual trophy.

So much for a frictionless free trade, but as I constantly reminded, the public voted for this.

£60 seems very reasonable, but its these sorts of costs and hassle that sway peoples choices and to go elsewhere.

Well I have just had a 1 oz Xmas card sent from my sister in Coventry that cost her £0.85 to send so £60 seems OK to me for a big box with certs.

Thanks for the reply’s.

We only need a vet certificate from the UK for most EU county’s but I’ve been told otherwise with Denmark and I was hoping someone on here may of sent some successfully and could offer some guidance.

The £60 PER HEAD was with NO UK paperwork.

£60 is cheap per head, I'm hearing reports of as high as £200 per head, I think the game will change to people come and shoot their 3/4 stags and then take home only the best one. Heads will be left with the estate and hopefully returning clients will be able to see their heads year after year
