I took a friend of mine to meet my farmer friend to look over some land with a view to her completing a BNG Metric for a planning application I have submitted for him, when we had finished I asked if we had enough time to check zero on a rifle that I bumped the other night, I had two shots which are the two on the bottom of the paper, to my surprise she asked if she could have a go, she'd never shot a gun before except an air rifle whe she was a kid, her two shots with my 308 are the two just off the bottom of the paper, the google earth measuring tool says 278 yards, I couldnt believe my eyes when we walked back down to the target, for reference the big circle is 6", the gun was supported on two sandbags on the bonet of my truck, imo that is some some seriously good shooting for a first go
