Shim or Update Rail?

Hi, I have a 10 moa scope rail on my 700 .308 not sure 10 moa gives me enough clicks to go past 800 yards would you shim scope? or avoid shim and buy 20 moa rail?

If you're going to be using it frequently then I would replace with the 20moa rail.

For something as generic as a Rem 700 action id buy a rail. There will be loads of new options and plenty of secondhand ones for cheap and a much better option than shimming.
