Shooterking Heads Up

Thanks for the heads up, some real bargains.

@Selous put me on to the brand last year and I bought a few things in the sale then and it's proved good kit.

The Venatu trousers have proved spot on for winter stalking. I have a Forest Mist jacket for woodland that is all good so far and so have just ordered a Easag smock in the Bush Tan colour as it's so hard to get a light coloured jacket for the hill (white ground.) The Swazi Tussock is over £300 and the new Ridgeline Teak colour is a lot darker than it used to be.

Does anyone have any experience with the Easag smock, mainly interested to hear about with waterproof-ness and breathability

Thanks for the heads up!

Could I ask how do people find the sizing for the Venatu trousers? Is there much stretch at the waist for them?

I am generally a 34" for things like jeans, but have to go up to 36" for the smart trousers as there isn't any "stretch" on the waistband

I have just bought one based on it's the same material as the Forest Mist jacket I have which, so far this year has proved to be 100% waterproof and a good level of breathabilty (better than my Ridgeline, same as my Swedteam Titan Pro.)

The cuffs on the jackets are a neoprene material which wicks wet up your shirt sleeve if you don't roll your shirt sleeves up. A common issue with a lot of jacket brands...

Good spot. Just ordered myself a new smock, looks like they've tweaked the design a bit from my old one, which was very good for the money even at full price 👍🏻

Really good deals on there
Thread made me finally get my waist measurements 29! no chance fitting into men's trousers I would say.

At least boots are usually cheaper lol little harder to find them in my sizes (2-4) but not impossible.

This looks to be a great deal…I was straight onto the link and drawn to the smocks…. Can I ask how generous (if at all) shooterking are on sizing?

I was hoping the 5xl were instock but none available

4xl could be too small for this pasty muncher but if sizing is pretty generous I may take a punt 🤔

I bought a pait of 40" Venatus from @Harv308 (he assured me) - however, they aren't.
They are Venatus and they are in excellent condition.

To be fair there is a bit of stretch in the waist band and if you pull it taught, laid out flat it does almost measure 20", relaxed it's nearer 17" - so there is some stretch.
If you normally wear a 40" waist smart trouser and as long as you have no nuts and don't want to lift your knees, then a 40" waist pair of Venatu will be fine.
If, however, if you do want to sit for any length of time, get in and out of a car or climb over a field gate, then you need to go bigger, probably 2" maybe 4".

These Venatu trousers I have would suit a 36 to 37" waist.
Snugly on a 38"

Because i'm honest if you (or anyone that PM's me) wants I will send you these to try, and if they fit i'd like £60, if not please send them back (at your cost).

I think the sizing is about right. I’m usual a large in coats and I just ordered the Easag smock in M & L and whilst I the M was ok if not a bit on the snug side, the L felt better as it gave me room to layer underneath. Main difference for me was the arm length M was too sort but I am 6ft4”

Thanks for the input….so am 6’2” but also 140kg, built for the drag but not for the bog 😂

Sounds like I may be missing out 🫣

On jackets I'm a 44" chest for a suit jacket but always order 2" larger for smocks and coats to take in a base layer. I did that with the shooterking jacket I have and is spot on and I have done the same with the smock I have just ordered (not arrived yet.)

I'm a 36" waist and their 36" version trousers fit perfectly.
