Shooting mittens

Folks,

I'm looking for a pair of warm shooting mittens, the type that give you a choice between having your fingers tips covered or not, so you can uncover your trigger finger before taking a shot.

I have a medium-large Decathlon pair ( 500 Softshell Hunting Mittens Green - Decathlon ) which would be perfect, but for the fact that they're a bit tight which isn't great for blood circulation. My hands are largish but not massive. This morning I was out and my hands froze as a result. The gloves I want don't have to be waterproof (hence a separate thread to the other one currently running on gloves), just really warm, with the removable piece for finger tips, and a decent size. Unfortunately Decathlon don't have the next size up in stock.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

I have a pair I use for game bird shooting which I like and have all fingers tips uncovered. Like you I do not like my hand restricted to much when using a Shotgun/Firearm but also don't want to suffer frost bite in January whilst waiting for the drive to begin!

I have linked the ones I have below. Obviously size is a personal preference, but as per the make, quality and feel of the gloves I have no complaints.

I HAVE MANY COMBIANTIONS DEPENDING HOW COLD AND WET it is my favourite are army over mitts over a dachstein wool mitten that i have on a string and another favourite is a pair of jack pyke mittens with a pair of winter golf gloves underneath i find i can use both my rifle and shotgun with the winter golf gloves on with no problems if i think back they are probably the only gloves i do not take off to shoot with

Many thanks for the replies gents.

Turns out Decathlon do after all have the next size up, so I'm ordering them plus a few other bits of hunting clothing.

I have a pair of Simms mittens that are perfect: Windstopper material, so they are great in driving rain etc.
North Face do similar, but only in black, and their sizing is less generous
