Shooting sticks

What he said.
If you’re not going to make your own you won’t go far wrong with a set of these. Warm to the touch. Very very stable I shoot well over 200yds on vermin with mine.
Edited to add better value than the fancy adjustable go wrong sooner or later (Murphy says when you’re on a medal buck) sticks that seem to be all the rage

I have a pair of these and they are very good, but silly money. For the money though you get a well made and quick to deploy solution that can be completely deployed with your left hand (or right) in 2-3 seconds. Rock solid as well.

Another vote for Viper Quad sticks they are expensive but well built and if you get the travel version they will go in a regular suitcase. They are considerably lighter than Primus Trigger sticks which I also have and faster to deploy IMHO

My preferred is just a pair of sticks about chest height or a touch shorter that can used from a seated or kneeling position. Increasingly though on my ground I don’t bother with sticks, instead making use of trees, fence posts etc and where I often sit have solid posts as rests.

Having had Viper Flex in the past, I opted for a set of Limulus sticks, and whilst a different kettle of fish I am very pleased. Once you play around with them for a bit they're easy to deploy and are very stable. Can be used as twin or quad sticks and for standing, kneeling or prone support. Great service from Tony too, but most of all they're a well made natural product and will be a fair bit more comfortable to handle in the winter!

Used a Bogpod tripod for years and like them a lot. Bought a set of Trigger sticks a couple of years ago and they're OK. Haven't had any corrosion issues with the mechanism in the legs but I do keep them in the dry and store them upside down. One leg has a tendency to sink though. At least with the manual Bogpods you could tighten up the clamps if you got a lazy leg. I prefer the half round cradle of the Bogpod to the V of the Triggers as well, though they do break after a few years.
As long as the mechanism of the Triggers sticks keeps working, being able to raise and lower the height with the left hand while looking through the scope is a great boon. The legs of the Triggers are less clacky when walking around as well.

Can't get on with quad sticks.

I'd make my own using a few tutorials on Youtube. If not I think supporting a member on the forum who sells them would be my next port of call.
