If you are worried about shooting within 50 feet of the centre of a highway should you also consider that controling corvids to protect song birds falls out side of the open general license?
Jake
Not so sure on that one Jake I think you would be ok. Though suspect if someone was that way out they could try and find a way of doing it or getting out of it. Rook pie for instance.
Anyways Mods can lock the thread now the answers have been presented job done.
General licences
You can use a general licence to kill or capture certain wild birds (including removing or destroying their eggs and nests) to:
- prevent the spread of disease
- stop serious damage to livestock, food, crops, growing timber, fisheries or inland water
- preserve public health and safety
- conserve other wild birds
- feral pigeon
- crow
- collared dove
- lesser black-backed gull
- jackdaw
- jay
- magpie
- rook
- woodpigeon
- Canada goose
- monk parakeet
- ring-necked parakeet
- Egyptian goose
