I think that I may have recognised some of the landscape and also it was interesting to put a face to a name that was mentioned to me a few weeks ago.

This got me thinking as well, I feel very similar emotions to those described in the clip…….I wonder if that is common, or do you get blasé and almost hardened to it the more you progress? I was stalking at the weekend, down in Dorset and had a memorable experience, taking about 45 minutes to stalk into 2 deer, couched down by a hedge, we had to very carefully move into range along the edge of wood, without them seeing us, then once in position, we had to wait until they stood up……which, despite the failing light, they showed no sign of doing. After some but all calls failed, my buddy barked them up and I took my beast. I had spent the previous 20 minutes observing her at high magnification and watched her ruminate, sleep a bit…….almost got to know her!
