I may have positioned myself behind a rifle in the wrong way until now

I was shooting off sticks so it exaggerated the pull, I'd shot about 50 rounds so was getting a little tired too. The name is a long and old story from 20 years ago, I joined a ski forum and needed a user name, I looked up and I had used a boot box to make a hide for my pet lizard, it had SCARPA on the side so I used that and it's kinda stuck. Im actually a Kiwi with Scouse parents who grew up in Wales and now lives in the Austrian Alps but works in England 🤣
i have to send you a song

Look for “vecchio scarpone”

They are, because that’s where I am less expert so i ask :)

This morning for example i killed a female roe at 80 m after crawling in the mud and shot her standing offhand!

Maybe i overthink, isn’t any passion a form of overthinking? Maybe you are here only for a practical reason, i am not. I enjoy (over)thinking about my passions and exploring new fields
Not really. I try not to over think any stalking situation. Instead I use my experience to assess if the shot is on and then manoeuvre into position or wait until it moves into position and that’s it.
I don’t think about how to position myself behind the rifle - it’s muscle memory and good old practice.

I never thought about how was behind the rifle while hunting once in my life. I was talking about range conditions and training

Yup, in all sports we tend to pick up some bad habits over the years, or just stick with the techniques that we started with. Time on the range can be very useful to refine the way you shoot.
