In what part of my rant was this only aimed at a novice as I do include both forces

I will give you just two from the experts
1.
While showing his pals who still had 38 wheel guns his new squeeze cocker pistol the officer discharged a round from behind the shooting line while on his annual proficiency course! Just missing the shooter on the line? as to his excuse Sir this is new to me i forgot it was loaded and if i squeezed the trigger it would go off !!! .
He had not spent the time to listen to the trainer at the range preparing with dry exercises before attending. There was an amount of blame going around after as expected but this chap was known as the Expert who said yeh done that been there ! But not a clue on what he could and should not do with this type of pistol
2.
I blow my knee off due to watching a gun smith trick up a 1911 trigger /disconnect and as i draw pistol while sitting while on a stage it went off !! He was a B Grade IPSC shooter after that he wasn't.
He was not or had a clue what could happen without any training. When I inspected the 45 acp I found he had used pliers to bend the bow and he had a trigger of under .5lb just pulling the pistol out of the holster was enough to make an already light tuned trigger drop.
..
Now one from a novice.
at a clay ground a new shooter was in the trap first time out new shot gun and a pocket full of cart.
he stood in the cage loaded then called pull all good so far shot at the first the slid his hand upto the bead and blow off his thumb and most of his fingers!
after he was sorted out the question was ask why ? He said there was fluff and he wanted to clean it off ...
But if you feel it's a good thing to start off without a clue rather than with then that's your opinion

as mine is mine.
Yes **** happens but less does with training fact.
