Show Us Your Rabbiting Knife

These are the only markings I can see on the knife.
The bottom picture is G.Lutters&ClE above the lion.

I’ve had this little 7cm blade folding rabbit paunching knife for years, never needed anything else. Doesn’t lock out so can carry it in the pocket anytime. Not seen many others like it in my time.

Looks superb for the job.

Anyone know where you could buy one ?

I have seen a similar blade on the Puma multi-blade knives ( as pictured by KB above) but never this style of blade on it's own.

After peeing the rabbit, pinch the belly skin by the ribs and cut across then insert the knife and down between the legs, but I’m no expert and sometime cut across the back and peel the skin off first then cut between the legs then to the ribs. All depends where I’m doing it and how many I have shot. Like I say I’m no expert and keep most of the meat or give it to friends.

So you just make the little cut with the concave blade rather than a pointy bit.

interesting to see what you use for rabbits
This is mine, but not just for Rabbits.
Originally purchased in the 1970s it was my fish fillet knife when I was 17. Many a happy hours.

It didn't take long to recognise that te fine point had other uses. RABBITS.

Bought this Crkt as a teen for rabbits, very rarely used for the last 18 years.

Usually just use my opinel or mora now, but this thread has made me some start looking for a nice little fixed blade..
