SIMULATED STALK DAY DAYS

We ran our first sim stalk day last week and now have proposed future dates to book on to.
All experience levels catered for as we can craft the days to cater for all skill levels.

Min of 4 persons required to run the day, Max of 8.

The day includes the following:

- Competency test and zeroing 100m.
- Stick technique and walk up practice 150m.
- Route 1 walked and shot in pairs.
- Lunch.
- Route 2
- Practice, zero and testing out to 500m. Gives shooters the chance to push their distances check their drops or just get some practice.

Each route has 4-5 targets; all steel target co/toms targets life size roe, muntjac and fox reactives.

Range time is carried out onto a selection of steel gongs.

Licensed novices welcome and we can also take on un-licensed novices over 18yrs old, however would not recommend first time rifle shooters.

Will be running these days on set dates through the rest of the year with then more availability next year.

£150pp, lunch included, 9am arrival, shooting 10am-3.30pm.

Estate Rifles available and guidance for non FAC holders 18yrs+ .

The idea to set this up came from the knowledge that allot of guys with FAC’s don’t have their own stalking.

They therefore do paid stalks, where they meet a guide at silly o’clock in the dark somewhere. They might have limited rifle time on a range or only go out a few times a year.

This day is designed to test and practice with kit, get confidence in kit, hone technique and above all else get some practice time in.

All that said we can also push the more experienced stalker by adding real life situations like follow up shots or introducing more technical or higher pressure shots (within reason obviously).

A word of caution it is actually illegal to charge for the use of a rifle you can.lend it but can't charge
Think a rifle club can charge are you a registered rifle club but if you are lending
under the estate rifle clause you can:t you can charge for ammunition used but not for use of the rifle, crazy I know but that's the law.

The legal way around it is to increase your prices to all your clients sufficiently to cover the use of your rifle/rifles by anyone that may require this service.

Good point. We don't actually charge for the use of the rifle just the ammo. Wording changed accordingly.
