Sitka, Kuiu or Blaser...

I wanted to give our opinion on different brands of hunting clothing and hear yours about these clothes. Especially about 3 that we have tried the most, KUIU, Sitka and Blaser. Starting with Kuiu, I would like to say that it is a very technical clothing and the best advantage we find is its lightness, which makes it ideal for high mountain hunting in which weight matters a lot. Without a doubt, we stick with Kuiu with their backpacks, the rigid carbon fiber backrest and the suspension system is extremely comfortable and light in addition to a very durable fabric. It allows you to carry a lot of meat. As a bad part of this brand we find the durability of certain garments, so much lightness makes certain garments break or tear with some ease. It is true that in high mountains you do not go into leafy areas or thick bush that could cause tears in the fabric, but when you have to do it in other types of hunting areas, the clothing suffers more.
With Sitka we have had very good experiences, it is much more resistant clothing although not as light. garments of high quality and very thoughtful in their design. The backpacks part is weaker, they don't have anything special and as a negative part, the price is very expensive, although in cases like ours of always hunting you don't regret it and you get more than pay for it.
Finally, Blaser is a middle ground between these clothes, it is light (not as light as kuiu) but very resistant. What we like most is that it is clothing with a more classic and stylish style. The quality of the materials is very good and the price, at least in Europe, can be purchased in more "affordable" ways. On the negative side, the camouflage is not as beautiful or practical to our taste as that of Kuiu or Sitka, although for this brand the success for us is the base colors.
we hace also tried Hart but not with good results, we think is better to spend that extra money and try these top brands.

Good review.
I have tried Sitka and Kuiu, to be honest I rate Kuiu higher for jackets and mid layers
I have done mountain hunting and hill stalking, and loved my original guide jacket - others don’t.
I have not tried the insulation pieces from Kuiu but did from Sika - too hot for me, but great for glassing or stationary hunting I imagine.
Luckily where I live the shops are full of quality insulation pieces, and although not keen on their policies in some cases the Patagonia mountain puffer is awesome I think
Pants I have tried are nowhere near robust enough for my area hunting, and find Fjallraven excellent I am trying some Swazi and fit is great but early days.

Never tried Blaser as I think if you make guns stick to guns, a bit like Harkila with boots and the issues you hear about

Sitka all the way for me, great layering system for hunting the mountains.
I live in the Jetstream jacket over winter.
It's expensive but as a guide I get a good discount
Cheers
Richard
Agree completely, I have some Kuiu gear and like it, but my Sitka jet stream is now 7 years old and is used 3-4 days a week, and my Sitka downpour is only about 2 years old but by far my most waterproof jacket, just as good as an arcteryx I have. Best of all it was only £60 on Vinted brand new with tags!
I can only assume somone had upset their wife 😂

Yes theres mountains clothing brands that make excellent fabrics not intended for hunting but that work great as mountain hunts at the end of the day is hiking
