South Wales range day /get together

Date set for Friday 15th November, the range will be opening especially for us from 8:30 a.m. There will be a range fee of £15 per person, this will cover you as a guest (that's the legal bit) plus there will be a light hearted shooting competition,(I haven't yet decided how devious I will be, but I do fancy best 3 round group at 200yds off sticks) There will be the usual tea/ coffee plus I'll be cremating venison steaks, burgers, beef burgers and sausages on the BBQ, All covered by the range fee.

I'll p.m everyone who has shown interest.

Ade

P.S, train and bus service to Cardiff City centre, very close to the range, so if the other half fancies a days shopping while you are having fun, bring them along.

H Ade No pm RECIEVED however that Friday is not good for me i was on Severn Ranges yesterday had a good Laugh with Richard,,,, maybe next Time;)

Thanks for the invite Ade but can't make it as work getting in the way. Unlike Landy & Bubble :old:
Hope you have a good turn out. ATB Gaz

Bring two packs you only get one if you can hit one on the range, anyone bringing 12 inch pizza or I'm ****ed!

Simon, bring your own effin pizza, I'm sure I will be able to cremate it on the barby. Venison and custard creams are the preferred food for the day, although jammy dodgers and milk chocolate hob nobs are acceptable.

All SD members welcome, but please drop me a P.M so I can make sure I've got enough venison burgers and steaks to go around.

Still on, If anyone requires directions, drop me a P.M

Ade

Anyone who requires directions, follow the links below, you can print off maps of the area.

The nearest post code to the range, (which if you were to enter CF62 5AH into any Satnav), would take you past the entrance, which is just past the train station. Look for a pair of black gates set in the railings, opposite the T junction. There is a sign which reads “Barry S Centre” on one of the gates.

Once you enter onto the property, you are advised to turn around at the widest point of the drive and reverse the rest of the way, following the white line.

Normal Range hours are 10:00 a.m till 4:30 p.m, but we might be able to go on a bit later. If you have any difficulties locating the range on the day, please telephone Barry Shooting Centre on: 01446 746375.

I've got Roe and Fallow steaks (loin and haunch) for the bbq.

Massive thanks for 270wsm (Ade) for putting the day together and for his bbqing skills. It was great to meet everyone, albeit slightly confusing trying to differentiate SD names form real ones! The guys from onelesscharlie had some really nice mods on display and were very informative to talk to. Final thanks goes to Barry range for accommodating us. Mike
