The number you read on those documents are false. if you want the reral numbers you can get them from the "guardia Civil" the public body which is where all the demands are oficially registered, and you will get a surprise from the real numbers and what the biassed documents say.

My suggestion is to put your feet on the ground and gain some real world experience and knowledge of the topics that concern you. In the absence of that, please take your soap box and move along.

Firstly they[the dogs] are all marked, so not lost.
The hounds [grey]that are lost, shot, hung etc by Gypsies, and like the UK, they dont answer to the law. And even then the vast majority of the Gypsies are not like that.
Most of these stories are made up to make money out of stupid people.
I have first hand experience of this, a GSP advertised here in the uk for rescue from Spain, Abused by the hunter, left to roam the streets and full of heart worm.
To get the dog here, it was going to cost £2000 with all the medication! A period of 2 months past and dog was clear of worms and price was reduced to 1800.
A copy of pet passport and rabies cert was requested and then the vet was contacted.
He stated the dog was in good healthy when he got it from the hunter who was to unwell to look after it, it didn't ever have heart worm and certainly never lived on the streets!
This is one example and most of these so called animal rescue charities are in the same league.

Your opinions are also rather baffling! The evidenced abuse of hunting hounds in Spain is incredibly well documented. I’ve forwarded your response to several people in Spain who are disappointed but not surprised you are stuck justifying your position with one unqualified story. Hard to argue with their observation of you.

Coursing is indeed barbaric for the hound and hare. Your inability to apply emotional intelligence to an outdated practice is quite surprising. I’d also add I do not need to support barbaric activities to be a ‘real sportsman’.

So, quite frankly I do not go on what people [do gooders, greens and general trouble makers] put in reports, if I did I would be living in a totally different world to the reality.
In Canada I saw reports that the Red deer is nearly extinct in Scotland due to hunting.
In Scotland I read that the Polar Bear is on the verge because of global warming and hunting. etc etc.
I tend to go on what I see in the real world and not on written evidence from liars that make money from their lies.
I have seen serious amounts of cruelty in nearly every country I've been to.
This includes Spain and that's mostly in farm live stock.
But when it comes to Dog abuse Spain is far over shadowed by the likes of Greece and Italy.
I see cruelty to dogs here in the Uk, regularly enough to teach me not to point fingers at others less guilty then our own.
My father taught me a very long time ago that Great Britain is a nation of animal lovers and at the same time animal abusers.

Care to define “ barbaric” for the benefit of less enlightened folk?
I had a peripheral involvement with hare coursing a long time ago.
I can’t see any ethical difference between open coursing and falconry, if anything coursing would have the higher moral ground because the aim is to turn the hare, not to kill it.

Struggling to find out what is majorly 'barbaric' with coursing. The most natural of all fieldsports, replicating what happens in nature. If said hare escapes, it's out of breath - end of.

Given the increase in sentencing powers via the courts act of 2022, it is quite concerning how some of you appear to support its continuation. Granted, the Rep continues with the industry although it is thankfully coming under increased pressure with every year that passes. Rather like the hunting hound abuse widely evidenced and reported in Spain, change will come and rather like outdated opinions, the ‘sport’ in both cases will be confined to the history books. Good riddance.

Just out of curiosity.....
You started this thread to get assurances about the welfare of dogs used by a particular company. Having received those assurances in the clearest terms, you then completely rejected them without reason or question. What was the point of that?
You've then gone off onto other topics displaying an inability to distinguish between welfare and law. There are forums for antis to exchange prejudices which may be more suitable, given your displayed complete lack of interest in the fieldsport in question.
What is the positive value in having started a thread you intended to completely reject?

To clarify, my assumption is that you're sat in Mum and Dads basement dabbling in recreational outrage while feeling like some kind of hero for bringing awareness to a difficult topic. All this while parroting other people's views and talking points. So, prove me wrong. Let's hear about YOUR personal experiences with Spanish hunting dogs and let's see YOUR documentation of these horrific abuses.

As to winning a discussion, there is no winning an argument/discussion with the self righteous because their views are based on emotion rather than facts and logic. Also, they are generally deaf to any voices but their own and those that agree with them. This makes most attempts at discourse simply pointless and tiring.
