"BRINKWORTH & DISTRICT VERMIN CONTROL" grey squirrel control feeder, 11inch | eBay
An angled feed chute which is removable to allow for cleaning and aid the flow to the front hopper of what ever feed you decide to use. A closed lidded hopper so that your not feeding all the other wildlife in the area.www.ebay.co.uk
Stick some duck tape round the feeder spring too so it slows the buggers down getting some out.Just use a pheasant feeder - blue barrel thing
Dont complicate it or spend money you dont need to - unless of course you want to
For some reason when I saw electric socket I rather hoped you might connect it up!Thought I should update my post in the hope it helps, here’s one of the feeders I made out of the ammo boxes, 100% weather and squirrel proof .View attachment 317323View attachment 317324View attachment 317325View attachment 317326View attachment 317327
Similar to mine - I used 81mm mortat cases - and they seem bomb-proof (see what I did there?Thought I should update my post in the hope it helps, here’s one of the feeders I made out of the ammo boxes, 100% weather and squirrel proof .View attachment 317323View attachment 317324View attachment 317325View attachment 317326View attachment 317327

I think I'm right in this but the bit on the bottom left of the box is the metal socket box which has a hole going inside the main box and then a hinged lid for the squirells to lift up and get to the feed?Thought I should update my post in the hope it helps, here’s one of the feeders I made out of the ammo boxes, 100% weather and squirrel proof .View attachment 317323View attachment 317324View attachment 317325View attachment 317326View attachment 317327
Yes exactly that .I think I'm right in this but the bit on the bottom left of the box is the metal socket box which has a hole going inside the main box and then a hinged lid for the squirells to lift up and get to the feed?
So as they lift the lid and eat the feed more feed trickles into the socket box?
The triangular ply on the front section is no nailed on to take the edge off any pellets that might miss or pass through just at roughly head height as they sitSimilar to mine - I used 81mm mortat cases - and they seem bomb-proof (see what I did there?). I've had mine out for about 3 years now
I got fed up of squirrels chewing wooden ones to bits, even with reinforcement mesh on, so went down this route. You won't regret it.
(Only difference on mine is I put a small vertical wooden section as an upright at the back of the tray as a sacrificial backstop if any pellets passed through so they hit that rather than the metal face of the box itself)
Ah makes sense and something I can make as have couple of these boxes already.Yes exactly that .
