Stalking locked down?

Travel to work "only is absolutely necessary". My paye job?..... it's not necessary....... my part time job, the one I have a registered company name to provide forestry protection?......don't think I can justify it as "absolutely necessary".

If it's done seriously now, bucks can be caught up with later and if they eat some trees in the meantime, so what.....nobody died

It’s a difficult one... you could argue that it’s pretty good exercise but at the same time it’s not absolutely necessary. It’s not your normal form of exercise so if caught then I’m not sure it would stand as an excuse...

Really what harm are you doing if fairly local and your out on your own. Me i have some ground the other end of the country so i think that is on hold for the time being, and i have a fairly full larder that should keep the land owners happy (local)

The pendulum swings one way and then too far the other. Go out but meet nobody, stay upwind. remember the virus will survive 3 days on cardboard, the worst material.
I'm retired and at home, doing all those jobs you never get time for. Fixed the chain saw, multi strimmer, quad and did some spraying, bit of logging. Out tonight foxing, I wont see anybody. Tomorrow I'll go for a drive locally to break the cabin fever but keep plenty of diesel in the car. It would all be fine but for hoarders and selfish b******* who think a suitable separation is impossible and relates to the end of marriage. We are the lucky ones - we have brains and a hunters instinct and perhaps a tot or two in the cellar ?

It IS my work, and the bored tied down 'meantime quarantined' housewives of these parts enjoy the fruits of my labours :norty:

Absolutely necessary means you cannot do that work from home. So if your job is stalking then that cannot be done from home

Absolutely necessary will be defined by the government in due course; it relates to the best interests of the nation, not the individual.
But I doubt any sensible copper would wish to stop you stalking if you explained its your living and you are not going to be in contact with anyone at all.

I thought exercise was encouraged if done sensibly and responsibly?

I am playing golf most afternoons after work. They have removed all ball cleaners, all the bins, the shoe cleaner. The clubhouse and bar are closed and buggies are not allowed. You have to walk 5 metres apart if playing with others and no hand shakes or embraces. Nobody is allowed to remove the flagsticks and they have pulled all the cups 2 inches out of the holes so you cannot actually hole a putt. You just have to deadweight the ball on to the lip so no need to reach in to the hole to retrieve ball.

Anyone seen flouting rules is banned automatically for 14 days. They send emails out every day to keep all members up to date. Seems that I am the only one still playing at present, so little chance of any rules being broken. It seems I currently have my own private golf course. It is pretty surreal but until someone says I cannot do it, I will keep going as it is good for me and I just do not see any risk to anyone. It is outdoors, away from anyone whatsoever with no chance of interaction.

I would see shooting as the same.

Photo this afternoon shows how weird and ghost like the place is at present. My poor little car was quite lonely.

Technically, providing you are on your own, you're not contravening the rules, or placing yourself or others at risk.
Moot point for me stuck on a bloody boat...
Could be worse.....at least it probably isn't raining where you are !
Kind Regards,
'Camodog'.
