OK so I had decided not to mentor anymore newbies towards taking DSC1 but do you know what... I’m missing the buzz, the obvious pleasure displayed by a newcomer to stalking when something interesting/exciting unfolds or when they shoot their first deer.

Also the satisfaction that after working towards it they obtain a qualification. I have a pool of experienced lads only too willing to share their knowledge with the right person.

If you are interested please take the time to retrace this thread back to when it all started August 2017, if you fit the requirements contact me via message only.

Quick recap.

Cracking offer, not for me though as I am older and too experienced and now hold no UK FAC anymore but I would like to meet up with the lads for an info swap if they ever do a pub night when I am back in the UK which is usually 3-4 times per year. Msg me or should I just let you know when I am in country?

Do no harm at all to msg when intending to come back to Uk. Would be good to meet up for a yarn and a beer.

What a great offer, if I was closer I would snatch your hand off for help and advice. I'm trying to get into stalking recently got my own rifle and done a few paid stalks before but gets expensive, need more people like you guys around helping people into the sport!

Well gentlemen it would seem that there are no novice stalkers in Kent looking for a leg up and after two false starts offering a dsc1 holder a place with me I’m still left with a vacancy, a spare seat on our planned stalks throughout the year.

Find my post titled “looking at new ground Dec 29th” which gives an insight into the opportunity on offer.

Happy to take on the right man, with or without DSC1, must be a team player, physically fit and actually have the time to come Stalking.

It would be good to make it known if you are interested in meeting up, not only socially for a pint but perhaps mutual invitations for accompanied Stalking on fresh ground. It is always interesting to see how other stalkers do it, different high seats, kit etc. Personally I have years of experience with Wildlife cameras that I'm itching to pass on.

ALSO.....

I have Fallow and a few Roe on my ground in Kent and am considering taking on someone keen to learn more, possibly working towards DSC1 and just needing some hands on experience. This is an offer to give a genuine novice a helping hand in all aspects of Fallow Stalking to boost confidence etc.

Evening just read you invite and very keen to know more. I’m definitely a novice at 53, hold a FAC and currently with a club where I shoot on ranges. Trying to get into deerstalking in Kent area. I’ve sat in the high seat once and blanked but looking for my next outing. I’m doing my DSC level 1 in august. So you invite is of great interest. Regards Marty. marty980@hotmail

So if you are interested act quickly as it’s the cheapest stalking you will find.

What a fantastic offer. Some take WB up on it quickly. You will learn a lot from an experienced stalker.
