Not sure how I've missed this! I've had the same problems with the same components - as in precisely: brand new PPU brass (F/L sized), Fox 130gr and N140. Was giving me what looked to be flatish primers from the off and every case (there haven't been many...) has been clicky on primary extraction. I haven't needed more than a little extra pressure to lift the bolt, but it's consistent and not present with any other reloads or factory loads. This is in a near enough brand new Schultz & Larsen Victory, so no rough chamber etc.
Thought this was odd as I started lower than you (43.5gr) and didn't end up exceeding 45gr as I was getting squeamish. I was ready to chuck it in but have since run the same pressure test with some once fired, F/L sized Winchester brass and this has been seemingly fine.
I have now bought some Lapua cases to play with in the future but thought I'd try the PPU one last time with a mild load of N140 and some 150gr GameKings. Tried five at 44gr, which produced a cracking group...but the same 'click' problem. Not sure what to do with it now. Would happily load the rest of them with the GameKings, even if I didn't reuse them again afterwards, if I knew I wasn't doing any harm. It's just a bit off-putting. Any thoughts on this from the community would be welcome!
Anyway, perhaps we both have some duff brass from the same batch? In my case at least I'm reasonably sure that's where the issue lies.
