Strippable T3 magazine?

Hi,
Is anyone using a strippable magazine in their Tikka T3 with steel lips and a steel rear liner.
I’d like to know if it looks possible to modify the bit at the back that dictates what length cases fit in the mag.
Looking to use Fireball length rounds ie. 1.850.
Thanks, Ken.

Tried that, didn't work. Also tried similar mod on a sako 85 223 mag, that also failed with the Fireball (and.wrote the £100 mag off in the process!!)

The fireball case actually needs a much shorter mag, what happens is that the entire round pops out of the T3 mag before the bullet is aligned with the chamber, and then proceeds to hit the end of the barrel tenon. Saw a YouTube video where the guys "fix" was to put a pronounced chamfer on the tenon to help guide the bullet up and into the chamber but ended up losing some barrel material around the base of the case, so wasn't fully supported!

Hi,
I’ve just bought a spare plastic T3 x 6 shot magazine to experiment with.
Alcock’s on site literature says they are strippable….
does anyone know the procedure?
Thanks, Ken.

Or even if there is a procedure?
Ken.
