Stumpy1969

Hi all,

I’ve been lurking for a while soaking up the wisdom and wisecracks on the site. Recent DSC1 (February) and FAC just approved. In the market for an 6.5 creedmoor and currently realising how few dealers stock left handed rifles and that package deals are right hand only. Edinburgh based and primarily stalking in the Borders for the last 2 years with an experienced friend leaving me very aware of how much I want and need to learn. Wishing that I’d started earlier than my 50s.

I am right-handed, but the left eye does all the work because I am half blind on the right side. So, I shoot right-handed rifles from the left shoulder. Been doing it that way for years and years. You get so that you don't even notice it after a while. One other problem you get is that most optical devices, glass or digital, are designed for righties. When you get round to selling left-handed guns, the market is not on your side either. I have a left-handed Hatsan semi-auto for sale, and it has sat in my safe for years. See how you get on with someone's right-handed gun. It opens up a huge marketplace to you. Good luck with the search.
