Very nice. This time with the photo attached !
Cant bring myself to permanently mod mineVery nice.
I'm still toying with the idea of having my cheek peice professionally modified to permit discreet height adjustment. At the moment scope sight picture acquisition involves chin/jaw weld!

Hoping the tales of warps stocks and Stutzen rifles are mooted by jealous half stock owners
You have to mention your husqvarna again. You can go off people you know
My Husqvarna actually has a dowelled forend as it was intended to be used in Sweden. Apparently it prevents the very warping you mention. My 527 is one-piece though.
I had exactly that rifle a pleasure to carry; the wood was spectacular and like a fool I sold it. Accuracy was .75 for 5 shots at 100 yds the pronghorn I shot with it was bang flop at no more than 35 yds.7x57 Ruger.View attachment 154019

very cool, i seem to remember the finish army also doing that to their mosin stocks around ww2, which could make sense for those conditions.

It’s 100% not a 1900. Bolt shroud is different. I can’t tell you what a 1600 or 1640 looks like because I don’t have oneHello mate, and nice rifle, and yep, that division of the wood is nicely done, Pretty cool that you also still have the front sight hood as well- The 1640 uses a swedish version of the mauser 98 action i believe, and if accurate that should cock on opening then. The 1900 is cock on closing however, so that is an easy way to find out if it's an M98 based husqvarna or a later one.

Yeah, the EUSSR is the pits, eh?Some of you will have noted I was looking for a rear sight for my Heym stutzen. They have one! But it’s impossible for them to post outside the EU without an arms export license that understandably they can’t be bothered to sort. For a bit of metal with a v cut in it.
Thanks Brexit.
