Subsonic 45-70

While deciding what rifle im going to get id really like to run some subsonic rounds through it. Has anyone had any success with it? What powder and bullet worked?

I would try some H&N plated bullets 300 or 350grs 0,25£each.

Buy this model 1889 in 8*58rd and rebarrel to 45-70, the model 1889 has a new locking block and cross bolt to take a higher pressure about 30000psi.

Be a lever action I'll be getting.

Been using 11gns of Boss and 12gns of Tin Star, with a 405gn lead bullet. Both loads just under 1100fps. Unfortunately both powders discontinued. Can both still be found in “old stock” though.
