SUV Recommendations

Japanese for sure with the exception of the Yeti.

CR-V
Vitara
RAV-4
Outlander
the boxy Nissan the name of which escapes me.

I’ve been happy with my Subaru Outback, which we’ve put 60k on with only a DPF clean out at about 150k, other than that it runs well and I’ve never come unstuck in it.

Skoda Scout or Octavia 4x4 also very good - if you can find one.

Definitely avoid a Duke, the first gen, which you be looking at for that money are very poor cars.

The Mokka is ok for a run to the shops, but they aren't a good car.

Whats your mileage limit, as that will make recommendations easier for the £4k budget?

Juke????

Snapcaps here,

My old car failed it's MOT due to a 'rotten undercarriage' so I scrapped it.

Sad day as it was a cheap 1.2 Corsa that lasted 3 years and went to rural places it should never have had the ability to navigate!

I'm now looking at an SUV, I have a £4k budget.

Something roomy (i'm 6"4) that i can drive for work but also shoot from and can get around a farm reasonably well.

Any ideas? I'm seeing things like Vauxhall Mokkas and 'Jukes'.

All comments, suggestions and advice welcomed.

Thankyou very much!
Toyota Rav4 AWD or Honda CR-V AWD.

I liveover 3000ft up in the Austrian Alps and my stepson has a farm that is only accessible via a 1km forest track. We are now a two Duster household (prev Subaru Forester and Skoda Octavia Scout 4x4). There are now 7 Dusters on our road and a lot of the high mountain huts use them. I can get 3 bikes in the back woth front wheels off and they are actually a fairly comfortable drive long distance. I'm highly impressed.
