I really like these for hang deer in the chiller, can’t for the life of me remember where I got them though and after some more - does anyone recognise them and could point me in the right direction please?

Post on here if you find them please that looks neat and I could do with one when skinning

Each to his own and no criticism, but I’ve always found it easier to skin deer off a fixed, non-swivelling hook, my reason is there seems to be less movement of the carcass overall, permitting a steadier ‘go’ at it on the admittedly few occasions when the knife is actually needed to touch off the usual sticking parts as I skin.

Funny I get annoyed that mine doesn't spin enough when I skin them

I stand in one place and work slowly round by pulling the skin down a bit then spinning it along sideways
The leg - the flank- spine - other flank - other leg etc and just keep working round and round
But I have mine on a pulley and after a few turns it starts spinning back

I mean it's not impossible I just work the other way for a a bit but I'm obviously one sided so naturally just spin it the same way every time

I realised these Swivel Eyes are less than £2quid in stainless and would solve all my problems and are available from all sorts of places
I go past a chandlers occasionall so will nip in next time and see if they have any
I definitely dont trust the swivel butchers hook, looks like a recipe for disaster
