Hi Folks,

I anyone aware if the "black" version of the T3x Roughtech is blued carbon steel, or is it black cerakoted stainless?

I've searched about on the Tikka page and reviews / ads but cannot find anything definitive.

Thanks
Mike

Go to a shop with one in stock and bring a coin... :stir:

Seem to remember someone on here having a whinge that the paint Cerakote wore off around the bolt raceways?

It will be blued carbon steel.
I personally would always buy stainless before blued steel

GMK confirmed its blued action/barrel.

I'm after stainless so will go for one of the other options in the roughtech range which are stainless

thanks
Mike

Not sure if a stainless/roughtech combination is available off the shelf. I wanted a .223 T3x in stainless with the green roughtech stock and the only solution offered to me was to buy a bog standard stainless varmint action and then buy the green roughtech super varmint stock stock.

its only the roughtech black/orange that is available with stainless, all the other roughtech stocks are blued steel only. A bit odd. I'll be dropping it into a PSE e-lite so unfussed about standard stock!
