Any cerakoted T3x lites?

Id like a factory cerakoted stainless T3x barrel and action, however the options are pretty confusing. I cant seem to see any cerakote options on the Tikka site apart from the T3x Veil lite and supervarmint.

Doing some searching shows that Livens have a T3X roughtech cerkatoe listed that doesnt seem to be listed on the Sako/Tikka site:

This would probably meet my needs but are there any other models knocking about with lite cerakoted barrels? Or is it more cost effective to get a stainless one coated myself?

Just get stainless. I can’t see the advantage of Cerakote. It would be the last thing that I’d want.

T
Cerakote is good stuff.
I’ve got motorcycle brake callipers done in it and brake fluid or dust just washes off with no damage

View attachment 402371tikka stainless is rubbish in my option had sako and tikka for years all stainless this was bought new last Feb and they get let to come up to room temp and wiped over before being put back in the cabinet I will get it ceracoated at some point

Really? I’ve had my Tikka for 7years and it’s not got a single mark on it. I’ll be getting it cerakoted for aesthetics only.

Blimey, that's bad. Both me and my mate have got stainless Tikka T3's (his is 7 years old, mine just over a year) and they've got soaking wet on more than one occasion, but they're still in pristine condition. All we've ever done when they've got wet is wipe then over with a lightly oiled rag once dry.

I was really surprised as well had tikka and sako exclusive for the last 15 years and this one has put me off buying another new tikka had rusting issues since day jumping groups found to be the recoil lug not contacting fully best thing I did was bin the stock and put it in a grs and planning to rebarrel to a bartlein and make a semi custom so the rust doesn’t really bother me any more tbf

Does anyone know, are these the 16mm diameter barrels on the standard T3x lite? Or the 16mm diameter on the standard rough tech?

@Lloyd90 I've just bought one of the limited edition Green/Black Cerakoted T3X Roughtec rifles mentioned by the OP in .270 and at the Stalking Show, the Sako rep confirmed it had a D16 barrel.

I also have a Wideland Veil Tikka T3X and that has the D18 barrel, same as my Sako S20 and so it appears, the same chamber also as fire-formed S20 brass fits the Tikka and vice-versa. Oddly enough, I have just dropped the Roughtec into my surplus Wideland Veil stock as I had fitted a Kalik cheek riser and Grovetec QD mounts to that so its an "odd-looking" Veil as the barrel is titanium colour and not bronze. I was surprised by the weight difference the D16 barrel has compared to the D18 when I was changing over the stocks pre scope mount.
