Ive had a few invites to hunt in Romania how hard is it to take my own rifle there now ? I have access to a estate rifle but would like to take my own ?
Depends on how you travel. Now that we no longer have access to the European Firearms Pass, if you drive you will need the equivalent of a Visitors Firearms pass for each and every country you go through.
If you fly you will just need Romanian Pass, your UK FAC and an airline and airport prepared to handle firearms.
Romania seems to be quite popular for driven boar lately.
My neighbour is Romanian and he reckons there are more boar in towns and cities than in the mountains these days.

They’ve had their share of AFS as well. I’ve hunted a few times in western Romania. Bags are not big like Czech because of the number of predators ( fox, jackal, wolf and bear) but some big keilers get shot. Last winter was the first time in 3 years that the guy in Romania said he had a large enough population to warrant a driven hunt. Sadly it was too late to organise. Everyone had spent their budgets for the season.
