I think Pulsar are a victim of their own marketing here
They have trailed the Telos for so long, made a huge deal out of it's 18mK sensor which, although better than the 25mK of the Helion isn't earth shattering and to be honest will never be noticed by most users.
Look at the Thomas Jacks video - yes the Telos image is better, but only marginally and there's nothing within shooting range that would not be seen and identified equally well with either monocular
The situation has not been helped by regular promises on delivery dates which have not been met
In other words, they appear to have overpromised and underdelivered
IMHO they should be pushing the upgradeability much more, and if the prices to upgrade the lens or sensor or add an LRF are reasonable, then that will be good for users
For Pulsar, the biggest plus with upgradeability is that it reduces the chances of users deserting to another brand when new products come along.
Losing existing users and not attracting new users must make the high heid yins at Pulsar lose sleep at night because existing thermal users and potential new users have never had so much choice.
The other day, I did a wee survey of the market for thermal monoculars (not riflescopes or binoculars) and came up with 12 different brands and over 100 different models currently available on the UK market
Cheers
