Hullo all,

Looking for a good roe sack for my Dads birthday. Willing to spend up to £150 if I have too. I would like a "proper" sack - rather than the rolling "yool" sack jobbies.

Im open to surgestions but I'm leaning towards a Kammo. I have searched on here and there seems to be some good reviews :D

Your rumblings please gentlemen :)

Having just researched all the sizings of roe sacks I can tell you that of the commercial ones, Kammo are the biggest and you can find them for £95.00. IMO they are much better made and designed than the Harkila one too.

But I thought the best value one I have ever seen is the one Poppins makes, so I bought one! I am not unhappy with my decision ;)

Thanks Flytie. It looking like the Kammo, but which colour:???:.

Just on a different note. Frannie denies ever saying that. Still Brilliant though

Sam, I know he does! But why let the facts get in the way of a good story ;)

Edit, I would want the olive green one, if I put the cammo one down I'd never find it :(

Your Obviously quite a fan! I used to play loosehead, he once came and gave a talk at my school. He is a cracking speaker

I like my harkila ! But it has faults !!

To stiff , Liner has silly pocket that makes a great bacteria growing area. Not easy to get folded small due to it being very stiff .
Have i mentioned it is stiff.

Looks like the fellows at Kammo might be getting a call soon. Might even have one for myself while Im there:D

I dislike the look of the Harkila Job, I stalked with a freind that had one and I thought it was abit noisy. Plus I like the look of the Kammo more.

I am a big fan of Frans! There are not many props that are world class both tight and loose, he was one. A natural athlete despite his size, and one of the best speakers I have ever heard, along with "Broon from Troon". One of the "Undefeated", what more is there to say:thumb:

I graduated to tighthead after starting at loose. Best position on the park no doubt, prop, either head.

I have a Harikila which was brought for me at Christmas. Used it this weekend when Predator Control and Oberon where with me. Very good Roe sack, however the heavy liner makes it rather stiff, and there are far too many plastic buckles, but for the money they are very good value and very well made.

as said before on here somewhere me and fester had my first fallow in his harkila, dont get me wrong it was bloody heavy on my back but it got us out to better land where we could drag it.so i would buy a harkila if i hadnt got festers to wear out intsead:rofl:
