The Dreaded DpD Delivery Company

parcel farce ,i booked an automated redeliver and it said parcel farce would redeliver today.nothing came and i deliberately stayed in all day, wanted to ask the f*k wit why he did not deliver it yesterday, now getting SLIGHTLY peed off.

We have a great Parcel Force driver...most striking appearance with a fluorescent (almost) lime green Mohican. Never a problem when he is on duty and a friendly smile when he turns up.

But twice now when he has been on leave the relief driver doesn't make it out to us at the end of his route and instead of phoning, texting or emailing to explain or apologise they just don't show.

Makes a mockery of paying the "next day" premium when it has been out for delivery but taken back to the Gloucester depot 7 miles away 5 times in a week!

Ive just had a message on my phone to say that my £300 DPD delivery has been successfully signed for by SIDE GATE...

Better be there when I get home....

I had a package for a remote part of the Outer Hebrides that was "out for delivery" from the Liverpool depot for two days in a row! No idea how that works.

I also had a Parcel Force package heading for the Hebrides on a 24 hour delivery that spent several days driving around Inverness according to their own tracking system. When I contacted them about a refund they refused on the basis of "unusual circumstances" or some other phrase and when I looked up the definition on their web site it included things like "civil war" and "volcanic eruption." Inverness is clearly way too dangerous a place for anyone to want to live in when the post van can't even get through it.

It seems there's a lesson to learn for all the suppliers on here: Everyone seems to be stepping in to support DPD. Likewise for me. They deliver within the first 10 mins of the slot every time. One silly thing though - if they are early they can't hand over the parcel! Very bad procedures/software.

I'll pay extra to have DPD delivery

DPD have been great for me and I have lived in three diferent towns in the UK and two in Germany. It is citylink (aka shitty link), DHL and Yodel who I have been VERY dissapointed with over the years...

Yes, just today I spent three hours waiting in fora parcel then trying to track down the missing DPD delivery. Turned out it was delivered to competely the wrong address and the driver allowed some random person to sign for it despite the name and address being totally clear. Only by chance I decided to phone a neighbouring office and ask if they had ever heard of the name of the person that signed and we started to slowly track it down. Spent another half an hour trying to contact them to complain but that is simply impossible. Shambles.

On a separate note, DPD drivers seem to appalling on the road. I wonder if the company sets them impossible targets and they have to drive like lunatics then just dump the parcels at the first opportunity to get anywhere close?
